The
Stuttering
Therapy Center is
dedicated to the diagnosis
and treatment of stuttering.
Brian Heskin earned his Masters of Arts degree in
Communication Disorders from the University of Northern Colorado.
As a certified
SLP since
1994, Brian has specialized
in
the diagnosis and treatment of fluency disorders. He is a Board
Recognized Specialist in Fluency Disorders by
Division 4 (Fluency and Fluency Disorders) of the American
Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Brian is a
graduate of the Stuttering
Therapy Training for Specialists from
Northwestern University. He is trained in the Lidcombe
Program, an
evidenced-based best practices therapy program for early
intervention. Brian is also a practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic
Programming (NLP). |

The Specialty Board on Fluency
Disorders of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
recognizes individuals who have expertise in the treatment of
fluency disorders. In
order to achieve this designation, the speech-language pathologist
must demonstrate in-depth knowledge in the area of fluency and
fluency disorders, meet continuing education requirements, and
maintain an active clinical practice in the area of stuttering.
